HRHW RESULT 1: Royal Pain.

Everyone successfully infultrated the Tuileries Palace, posing as guards and, in one case, a chambermaid to the Queen.

Dany and Jon both barely made it, rolling exactly the minimal number necessary for mission success; you guys did it! But it was by the skin of your teeth. Feel free to interpret this however you like.

Ashitaka, on the other hand, rolled five more than he needed for a success, meaning he had a smidgen of better luck.

Regardless, Dany, Jon and Ashitaka now have jobs protecting and caring for the Royal Family in their imprisonment. Their duties will vary.

The royal guard having to primarily deal with a riotous populace, and a guard personnel none to happy to be doing such unpopular work. The guard is largely unsympathetic to the monarchy, and many don't take their jobs very seriously. As such, anyone who does put in an effort will be rewarded and noticed by the man in charge of all of these guards: Lafayette, a career military man who is ultimately loyal to the monarchy.

The chaimbermaid to the queen's duty is to provide for her needs and keep everything in order; you'll find the Queen a somewhat vapid woman, under-educated for the position she's in, who is adamant that no compromise can be made with the peasantry, and the only fix for this problem is a return to absolutism. She corresponds with Lafayette regularly, and their talks have a clandestine air to them.

The two have a secret, and it's your job to figure it out.

This mission will stretch on for a few weeks, with occasional updates being sent through private means. This means the mods will PM you with information your characters will have learned, and it's your job to tell the rest of the game, plot, and plan with them on how to act on this information. It also means your characters have special status in some of the upcoming logs and events, with events hitting them differently than it would the average person. Depending on how things unfold, there may be special locked logs that are meant only for you three.

This model of HRHW mission is obviously experimental, and may take some tweaking. Please bear with us, and if you don't like how any of this sounds, or don't like how things are going, or have any suggestions at all, please let us know at any time.
