The two of you rolled a 24, for a grand total of 64. That's a decent margin of success, considering you only had 10 points of wiggle room. The difficulty won't change between human or Aranean form; you'll just have a different set of struggles in each. btw, it's up to you whether you go in as a male or female spider. You guys might want to look this over and this might be of interest to 76.

The first HRHR to the labs, manned by Bucky and Angela, provided COST with the necessary genetic material to create spider bios on your BCEs. Give them a round of applause.
The transformation is painless, if incredibly fucking weird to watch. Arachnid limbs sprout from your stomach, your legs fracture until they have six joints, and your butt practically bulges into a whole new creature. And then there are the eyes... Which means, yes, you have Aranean vision now. You may notice that recruits who are magical or artificial in the same way have similar "signatures".
Before you leave, Young will tell you to gorge on as much meat as possible, to stave off hunger pangs. Fortunately, Araneans are capable of going without food much longer than a human, but this mission could take awhile. Also, Young is probably gonna be pretty fucking busy when you return topside, so you'll have to tough it out as a spider until she can see to you. Whoops.
Aranean violence isn't entirely cultural; a good portion of it is instinctive, so contending with those instincts may prove something of a challenge in spider form. They also won't have a cultural framework for these instincts, beyond what they've learned as humans.
The Araneans they encounter in the mines aren't the high-class individuals of the court. They're more casual and downright crass in some cases, with a slightly weaker divide between male and female spiders (the mines employ both, as male Araneans can reach locations their female counterparts can't, while female Araneans can handle burdens the males can't).
Miners often wear light armor similar to what recruits saw in the arenas, primarily to protect against minor cave-ins. Many of them dig out smaller crystals by hand, while drills and the like are used for larger Ymir deposits.
Even a small amount of Ymir is incredibly valuable and COST will not request the theft of much; they'll ask for a single cube 15cm by 15cm (6" by 6"), but bring more if you can. Just not at the risk of the minimum.
If you guys have other ideas in mind, go for it. Run it by us first if you have doubts about how outrageous it is, but if you can think of a way to integrate it with the success or failure of your HRHR and it has both of your approval, you'll likely get a green light.
