Realistically, it'll upset her too if something happens to him, and for the same reason you just mentioned, she likely wouldn't be as hot and bothered by him if he wasn't who he is.
Yes to knife fighting! And double yes to arrows! He can knock her around, though I imagine if he's too rough, she's going to get annoyed with him. Which is good, take out that excess energy through a good spar (even though most of it will be her on her ass, probably haha).
