BLACK TUESDAY.
BONUS REWARDS;
get your sweet loot here
It's finally time to cash in your XP! The opportunity to cash in XP comes around every few months, usually while characters are at BASE. Here you can buy things for your characters, by using points you've acquired via bonus activity. These purchases are OOC; characters are not aware of them. Everything arrives in their assigned room after your shopping list is approved and you have until the end of the month to make purchases.
There are two kinds of purchases available: set (listed with fixed prices below) and proposed. Proposed purchases can be items or abilities or anything else that comes to mind. To get them approved, reply to this entry with the appropriate form and we'll give you a price quote. If you're okay with the price, add it to your shopping list when you're ready.
Submit completed shopping lists as a reply to your activity thread on the AC page, specifically the most recent mod comment that marks your AC as "APPROVED" and confirms your XP total. Put the current MONTH | CASH IN in the subject. For an example, check here!
BASIC PURCHASES
Since listing every single item that qualifies for this category would be a huge pain in the ass, we're going to generally describe them without getting into specifics. So you can get creative and pick items from your character's home or ones they've never seen before; whatever. If the mods disagree about how you've priced anything, we'll let you know, but it's unlikely.ONE (1) XP:
- Clothing: A basic outfit with no special properties.
- Food: Three (3) average-sized meals or beverages of average sustenance (but authentic ingredients), with no special properties. All of the same type/brand/etc!
- Weaponry: A non-reloadable weapon with no magical or special technological properties.
- Miscellaneous: An item that cannot be used for combat, but may or may not have some magical or special technological properties.
TWO (2) XP:
- Weaponry: A reloadable weapon with no magical or special technological properties. It comes with one (1) matching pack of ammunition.
- Armor: One full set of basic armor used only for defensive purposes, with no magical, technological or offensive capabilities.
- Weaponry: A weapon with magical or special technological properties. This weapon must be canonically available to your character.
- Armor: One full set of armor used intended largely for defensive purposes, magical or technological properties, and offensive capabilities. Must be canonically available to your character. (Does not include any kind of mechas or space marine suits; those must be negotiated individually as a proposed item.)
SPECIAL PURCHASES
ONE (1) XP:- Pan-Tone Capacuti™ Hair Dye: Read here for more details. The highest quality hair dye known to man, past or future. Colors are randomized, so it might be a good idea to buy several if there's one particular color you want. Have...fun.
- Futhark Headphones: A pair of collapsible wireless headphones that pair with your BCE or any other Futhark-enabled devices. Available over-ear, on-ear, and as earbuds.
- Iron Pills: Read here for more details. Blood not red enough? Buy some iron pills! (COST is not responsible for any side effects from iron pills.)
- Futhark Speakers: A pair of wireless speakers that pair with your BCE or any other Futhark-enabled devices. Each speaker is roughly the size of a soda can.
- BugOut Spray: This handy and helpful spray repels bugs for a whole five minutes. Handle with care; highly flammable.
- Tarnhauser's Book of Petty Magyks: A cursed book of about 50 pages, detailing ten spells that can be deployed at any time, but only once. The spells change every time the book is printed (that's why it's cursed), so it's kind of a gamble if you'll get anything good. The mods will let you know which spells you receive upon purchase.
- BASE Interactive Map: A paper map that will lead you through BASE and show you not only locations, but also where other recruits are (if they have their location set to public), the location of all DACTYL droids, and what showers are currently in use.
- HelperTron 782-54: An experimental prototype meant to replace DACTYL droids, this robot is the size of a football and about as intelligent. It barely remembers its name and doesn't like the color yellow. It best serves as an alarm clock, because it's really, really good at waking people up in the middle of the night. Tech-savvy characters are welcome to try to improve it. Or accidentally ("accidentally") do the opposite.
- Norn Cards: An old deck of cards with faded, esoteric images on them. It's said they tell the future and some cards do seem to pop up at certain times than others, despite the fact that there is only one of each card in this deck of 25. They come with a guide and, yes, they do tell the future...in really vague ways.
BCE UPGRADES
ONE (1) XP:- ZapChat: An app that lets you take pictures or short videos and add stickers, filters, and other weird bullshit to them. Anyone can receive these pictures and videos, but you need the app to send them. Due to limited server space, all media sent through this app will automatically delete after ten seconds of being open.
- TrioLingo: A language-learning app that teaches basic vocabulary and grammar before testing you daily, with a point system to keep you engaged. Current language packs are: Modern English, Middle English, Old English, Ancient Hindi, Modern Hindi, Old Norse, Ecclesial Latin, Modern Japanese, Ancient Japanese, Modern Chinese (simplified), French, Jhachsh'ii, Aesiri, Ancient Greek, High Valyrian, Lemurian, Klingon, Galactic Basic, Binary, Bocce, Lilliputian, and Australian.
- Retrogram: A photo-editing app with built-in filters, as well as a huge selection of colors and brush packages that allow you to edit photos to your heart's content. Or just draw original art on the canvas selected. Stick figures, here we come.
- STANDRDS App: A dating app that looks through your character's personality index via their network history and matches them with three ideal partners. The app automatically selects three characters from your cell, regardless of whether you've met or spoken to them before, or if they even have the app.
PLOT COUPONS
Want a special plot coupon, tailored specifically to your character? It costs 40xp!
If you request one, please give us some idea of what you'd like it to entail. Specifically, we'd like an idea of how you want it to affect your character emotionally, what skills it should utilize, and any overall effect you might desire on your character's status within COST. We'll do our best to work with you, but we will state that we can't always guarantee how it will go and so recommend a little leeway.
Buying one of these will require some background communication with the mods in order to make it work, though levels will vary. You can request one plot coupon every six months.
PROPOSED PURCHASES
The only rules for proposed purchases are it cannot:
- Be sapient or of otherwise markedly high intelligence.
- Be unique to a canon other than your character's own, if magical or alive.
- Change the entire structure of the game.
- Give time travel or dimensional travel abilities.
- Be bigger than a house.
Otherwise, go to town.

I'm planning on getting Siegfried's armor and technically it's a part of his self when he's summoned (same with a bunch of Servants). My question is, will it be returned to him as regular armor (as Servants can easily call their weapon and armor even if they are dressed like normal people) and if so, would we get the chance to use xp in the future to make it summonable? Or would this break out too much from trying to be subtle by COST measures?

1. Can the clothing be specific to the character's world or does it need to be familiar to ours?
2. If their clothing can be world specific, what qualifies as a full set of armor. I ask this because in Thedas a lot of clothing is adorned with metal embellishments, whether it's a plate on the shoulder or the knees. Do pieces of metal here and there qualify or would it have to be a suit of armor? (Most of Dorian's outfits are adorned with pieces of metal plates, I wouldn't classify it as armor personally because it does nothing to protect his vitals so I'm curious as to those qualifications)
3. Undergarments. I'm going to assume they don't count as a whole "outfit" so what would be the going rate for undergarments to points?
I think that's all of my questions...for now...

On the last round of purchases, I got this outfit for Jon, plus the cape he wears in other scenes (this is just the pic that best shows what's under the cape), and minus the brigandine (leather tunic with metal plates riveted into it), gorget (metal neck protector), and vambraces (leather arm cuff things), because I thought there was a prohibition on armor and didn't realize that someone else had asked about their character's armor. If I'd known that I could, I would have requested the entire outfit last time, inclusive of armor pieces, probably as an armor purchase. (It seems like armor is being considered as "entire outfits that involve armor" -- that's what made me ask. Like if I had requested this outfit as armor last round it might have cost me 2 total.)
I'm cool with paying 2XP for these armor pieces on top of the 1XP I paid for the rest of the outfit, but if there were any chance I could pay 1XP because it's like half a suit of light armor (not a full suit of plate or anything) and technically part of an outfit I already paid 1XP for, that would also be cool, why squander XP, etc.
What do you guys think?

Item: A black chocochick...
Purpose: She's a baby chocobo. She sits there and looks cute as fuck.
Appearance: So cute.
Storage: In Prompto's room between socializing with whatever other animals. Provided they don't, y'know, try to eat her.
Benefits: She'll...make Prompto happy? She won't be useful unless this game runs foreverrr because I'd say it would take like 6 months to a year for her to reach riding size. And that's just not gonna happen while she's on BASE.
Disadvantages: Um, she's a baby chocobo.
He isn't getting her until like a week after they're back at BASE for reasons, but we need SAMPLES.

Item: YUMMY® App.
Purpose: "Search, watch, and cook every single YUMMY® recipe and video ever. The aether's largest food network, just a blink away!"
Appearance: Link.
Storage: It'll be housed on the BCE as an app players can purchase for their characters.
Benefits: So many hours of entertainment, so many sleepless nights now filled with beautiful and strange recipes from the multiverse!
Disadvantages: So many hours of craving things he can only eat in food-goo form. Sad...
no subject
Characters will have to download their favorite videos when they're away from BASE, though. Interdimensional wi-fi only goes so far.
no subject
Item: The Homesickerator
Purpose: A small screen that allows you to check in on your homeboys and homegirls back home for a small snippet of time. Even if it doesn't work right or even tell the truth, or is just a reflection of what the user wants to see rather than what's really happening. (Let's be real, he just wants to see his mom.)
Appearance: A small reflective mirror surface
Storage: BASE Room
Benefits: Helps to calm that war afflicted heart
Disadvantages: Can't actually communicate or provide anything other than a good feeling. Which might turn out to be a bad feeling. Who knows!
Item: BCE Fitbite
Purpose: Helps you get swol
Appearance: Has a small image of Chiron that alerts you when you haven't done 2k steps per hour. Allows you keep track of how much work your friends do if they accept a friend request (even when their BCE is on private)
Storage: In the BCE
Benefits: Muscles
Disadvantages: Hearing Chiron telling you to run every hour
Item: SP Adhesive 3
Purpose: Restores mana by walking around
Appearance: It's a straight up bandaid with infinite sticky power
Storage: On your body
Benefits: Doesn't let my character die of fatigue due to his hungry ass servant
Disadvantages: Leave a bad skin residue when you pull it off, totally unfashionable
Item: Speech stone
Purpose: A walkie talkie but in the form of a small earring, it allows covert communication between two users
Appearance: It's an ugly earring
Storage: In your pierced ear (grab that needle)
Benefits: Allows us to be more stealthy. After the Regency hacked into our BCEs, I imagine this would be pretty useful to a bunch of us paranoid losers. Even comes with a mute and hold feature that plays soft german operatic music when you want to ghost on someone.
Disadvantages: Ryuji will talk your ear off
Item: The Couch Coach Total AI Workout System
Purpose: Installed software on your favorite BASE furniture that judges you when you sit on it!
Appearance: A calm and mocking voice from your couch
Storage: BASE furniture
Benefits: Lovingly judges you when you eat too much ramen
Disadvantages: Comfortability is a thing of the past!

The BCE FitBite is a great idea and will cost 2xp. It also comes with a 'brain train' functionality, where you can ask it to set an intellectual workout with required reading and multichoice tests. Also, it doesn't really yell, it just kind of passive aggressively suggests. "It'd be so nice if you... did your homework... and did a few laps... I guess you want to have slow reflexes... that's fine, really... I'm fine with it..."
The SP Adhesive 3 will cost 4xp for a box of 5 little adhesive patches. The adhesive patches do not stack, and only last for about a day each before their powers negate. It won't really negate your fatigue, just kind of take the edge off your brain fog. This is only applicable to characters who already have a drain on their magical energy; you can't use it to regain more if nothing's already costing you.
The Speech Stone would kind of negate the purpose of BCEs, so we're gonna compromise and give you Speech Pearls. Shiny, perfect pearls that you can whisper a message into, and hide for the recipient to find. Once touched, the speaker must say the catchphrase (swordfish), and the message will play, and then the pearl will crumble into dust. Anyone can intercept the message, however, so be careful; the password isn't exactly difficult to figure out. For 4xp, comes in pack of 5.
The Couch Coach will cost 3xp because it's big, y'all. It measures your BMI and is weirdly judgmental about it. The AI is pretty basic, you can't have conversations with it and it has no personality beyond its native function. It will also vibrate if you fall asleep, and toss you off if you try to bone on it.
I'M BACK FROM OUTER SPACE
Item: truth pops (i'll spare you the registered trademark this time).
Purpose: get all your friends to tell them the truth for an hour, with the added hilarity of dying their tongues blue at the same time.
Appearance: they're just blue popsicles. like this.
Storage: IN THE FREEZER, AYYY LMAO.
Benefits: INTERROGATIONS, HAPPY ACCIDENTS, TERRIBLE SHIT IS GOING TO OCCUR WHICH IS GREAT NEWS.
Disadvantages: THE TRUTH HURTS 9 TIMES OUTTA 10.

gaming garbage
Item: The latest video game console, including a fighting game, party style competitive game, racing game, an RPG, a shooter, and two controllers.
Purpose: It lets you play video games.
Appearance: Here. It has a small projector at the top so all you need is an (ideally) unmarked wall upon which to see your games. No screens required!
Storage: I won't tell someone how to live their life but it's not waterproof. I'd put it in a bin when it's not in use if I were you.
Benefits: It will give him a social life (maybe).
Disadvantages: It will keep him from getting a social life. Also it can't do anything other than play games; no movies, nothing, so that's sad.
PROPOSAL.
Item: BirchStory, a BCE-supported mobile gaming app.
Purpose: BirchStory is a hit mobile mmorpg in which players can choose one of five starting classes for their character (Knight, Sniper, Enchanter, Rogue, and Felon). Players are able to create avatars using this character creator and can (upon reaching level five) start a guild which other players can then join. Highlights of the game include random encounter style combat, skill trees associated with leveling up, a wide variety of diverse maps, and property management (want to own your dream house in-game? want to become a merchant in a nearby town? dream it and live it). Experience a new level of human interaction brilliantly removed from reality with the added feature of being able to not only designate other players and NPCs as your close friends, but also dating and marriage prospects.
Appearance: It's a 2-D side scroller. It's also adorable.
Storage: It's an app.
Benefits: Um, how do you think, it's awesome.
Disadvantages: He's a nerd.
no subject
It's your solemn job to name the games they'll be playing, please make sure to make them as dumb as humanly possible.
BirchStory is 3xp because it's highly interactive and takes a lot of bandwidth, but is ultimately just a phone game app. It won't work off BASE or in areas without intergalactic wifi.

Item: Cask of wine.
Purpose: Gets your dumb ass drunk like a skunk.
Appearance: Bazinga.
Storage: In the capsule's kitchen, most likely.
Benefits: Liquid courage means you too can become as snarky as Olenna Tyrell. (Though not as cool let's be real.)
Disadvantages: ^ vomiting, hangovers are a pita.
Editing to include the fact that there are multiple sized casks so hit us up to let us know how much point-wise/gallon-wise we're talking here I guess??

(if this pic doesn't show I will drop it into the Discord server.)
There are also various qualities of wine/alcohol (red summerwine, arbor gold, dornish red, various inferior Essosi wines, mead being popular in the North and hippocras being popular in the Reach, etc.) but I'm assuming that's probably irrelevant to this question.
ETA: wow, I didn't initially state that this was also my question! whoops! and I was thinking that the smaller barrel next to the wine seller (the one on top of the huge barrel) would be more like 2XP? Might save on having to store multiple small barrels maybe, if, say, someone ("someone") wanted a lot of mead.

Item: Angela's Caduceus Staff
Purpose: Heal the shit out of you. She wouldn't be taking it out into the field with her because ha ha ha it's very out of place BUT part sentimentality part see if she can use her tech in something smaller that she could take into the field? As like an extension of the BCE healing capabilities
Appearance: staff!
Storage: In her room
Benefits: Better heals! Compare to COST tech since Chiron is letting her peek at it???
Disadvantages: If she does create a smaller portable healing device for missions someone could catch her doing 'magic' healing...... gasp
no subject
Also re: Chrion letting her look into BCE's healing capabilities, I was going to go over that with you in more detail later, but essentially he's letting her read logs and data readouts, not actively futz with the machinery, since that's still too dangerous.

APOLOGIES IF THIS IS VAGUE THE END GOAL IS "HORSE BUTT"
Item: Some mechanism to let Chiron regain proper centaur form.
Purpose: To let him sometimes just be a horse again.
Appearance: Screenshot
Storage: Depending on the mechanism? Could be a weird amulet, could be connected to the BCE.
Benefits: Well, sometimes it's nice to be back in horse form.
Disadvantages: I am 200% sure this is a bad idea in general, especially if item is limited use of 1 change per day and then being stuck in the appropriate mode etc.
no subject
The mechanism to do so will be in the form of a small runestone (roughly the size of his palm) that Chiron will have to keep intact, clean, and not, you know, loose. If he takes it out and uses the sharp edge to draw blood (anywhere on his person is fine, and a small, shallow wound is suggested), he will transform into whatever form he's not in. He can only transform once every twenty-four hours, however, so once you're a horse, you're a horse for a while. Have fun.

Item: A husky puppy
Purpose: She runs around and probably plays with people and chases things and consistently looks adorable
Appearance: Look, a cute pic
Storage: Probably in Siegfried's room when he's on missions, she'll walk around with him otherwise and play a shitton (also probably chase after Mordred's cat to play with it and be cute as fuck)
Benefits: Sieg is a Disney Princess with Young, how much cuter do you want this shit, because it'll happen
Disadvantages: Okay but him learning to train a pet is gonna go great and by great it will absolutely exasperate him, especially when she gets older and keeps trying to do puppy bullshit with him and it definitely does not work (like jumping on Sieg's chest when he lies down as a puppy and trying to do the same as a full-grown dog...) HE'LL LEARN THO, SHE'LL BE A GOOD TRAINED DOGGO

Item: Power Suit
Purpose: it is a suit of powered armor and a weapon made by alien bird people, wearable only by Samus. Starts out with base abilities and gets upgrades through
gameplayagoogle xp points.Appearance: basic power suit
Storage: HAMMERSPACE. No, seriously. It works on conscious dematerilization. She sentai sparkle shines the Power Suit on and off whenever she wants.
Benefits: enhanced durability, strength, and protection from the elements (breathing indefinitely in space/under water, insulation against hot/cold temperatures, etc). The visor offers long-distance communication, pretty much like the BCE. The arm cannon has a charge beam (energy-based, infinite ammo, degree of strength depends on charge time), and missiles (limited ammo, more explodey). It also comes with a built in sort of swiss army knife tool or multi-tool for delicate mechy-techy repairs. Her left hand sports the grapple beam, which is an energy lasso that she mainly uses to leverage herself to high places or rip shields off enemies. The Power Suit lets her transform into a ball, useful for rolling around in tight spaces. She's very responsible with her powers and won't be blowing up sections of BASE or anything.
Disadvantages: It is bulky and easy to mistake her for a dude/robot/mythical entity. It's glaringly orange and also glaringly future tech so it's really going to be for on-base use, unless any missions go to a time/place where wearing it would be appropriate. It's worth noting she can summon parts of it at will (like say, just a gauntlet or just the arm cannon) so she can manage some discretion even if it's not appropriate. It is part mechanical/technological and part biologic/spiritual so things like EMPs or hacking or viruses can affect her to varying degrees/success.
The complete Power Suit is capable of a lot of crazy shit and varies sometimes from game to game, SO! I'm going to do my best to condense and consolidate future upgrades into groups, and gloss over upgrades that are kind of redundant or don't translate well in RP:
POWER SUIT BALL STUFF.
Item: morph ball upgrades
Purpose: primary utility, minor combat; basic bomb (it is a small bomb, doesn't do a lot of damage, more used for opening up passages and paths), power bomb (it is a small nuke meant as combat-overkill and I'm super willing to omit this entirely or make it a separate and more expensive xp gain), boost charge (ball charge up and go fast for short periods of time), spider ball (ball go up walls).
Appearance: bombs look like small baseball sized capsules, boosting makes the morph ball glow.
Storage: hammerspace
Benefits: bombs can be used in combat but they're rather ineffective and more of a deterrent or nuisance. boost charge lets her build up momentum so she can totally do sick shreds on half-pipes (not kidding) or provide a good source of kinetic energy. Spider ball slows her speed but lets her roll up walls and ceilings, ideal for exploring or being sneaky.
Disadvantages: while in morph ball mode she can't talk or use any other features of the Power Suit until she unfurls out of it.
POWER SUIT BEAM STUFF.
Item: ELEMENTAL PEW-PEW FOR THE ARM CANNON.
Purpose: primarily combat; plasma beams are hot, ice beams are exactly what they sound like, wave beams are electrical. All beam weapons are energy-based and have infinite ammo and operate with the same charge-time mechanics as the charge beam does.
Appearance: plasma beams are red and firey, ice beams are light blue, wave beams are purple.
Storage: in the arm cannon
Benefits: plasma is strongest, ice is usually used to freeze/stun enemies but won't outright kill them, wave beams are weak but can temporarily stun.
Disadvantages: excessive use of beams (especially plasma beams) will eventually overheat the arm canon and she'll risk burning her arm.
EXTRA POWER SUIT STUFF.
Item: the "varia suit" upgrade; this is where I'm grouping mostly extra visor shit (thermal, x-ray, scan), the screw attack, and speedboost and shinesparking.
Purpose: combat and utility; the visors are fairly self-explanatory; thermal lets her see heat signatures, x-ray lets her see in x-ray,
scan visor gives a short 2-3 sentence blurb on something, usually with attention to enemy weak spots or what minerals are combustible, etc. I'm amenable to making a permissions post for the scan visor or rolling with "data not available" otherwise. Screw attack can be very devastating--it lets her turn into a sort of energy sawblade when she jumps and she can jump infinitely in this state--so I'm also ok with either omitting it or making it a separate xp gain. Speed boost lets her go really fast. Shinesparking lets her take that gotta-go-fast energy, store it, then release it all at once so she can launch herself like a rocket.
Appearance: this
Storage: regency jail space i mean hammerspace
Benefits: visors make life hell for sneaky types, the screw attack is op as hell, and shinesparking is used to used to reach a hard to reach place with speed and momentum required, but can also be used to inflict damage.
Disadvantages: visors are usually the first things to falter if something is meant to interfere with the suit or are the most susceptible to being temporarily overloaded and turned off. Shinesparking is difficult to control (once she picks a direction she has to commit to it), consumes energy, and crashing into things is really the best way to stop. Crashing into things causes damage to Samus.
CUSTOM MOD/DLC STUFF.
Item: WHY STOP HERE the Power Suit is designed to be modular and assimilate with other technology, perhaps COST's included? For example, the BCE's visual components would function just as well in her visor. Maybe some Regency stuff could be reverse engineered and we could put Anubis ears on her helmet that let her hear the sound of time for one minute before she goes insane... or some upgrade that lets shoot Norn Cards out of her arm cannon or something. Tarnhauser's beams. You know, useful stuff.
Purpose: combat, practicality, utility, general silliness; I'm game for any of that.
Appearance: lay some sweet sweet mod design ideas on me
Storage: hammerspace/up her ass
Benefits: maybe she wakes up with an ornate fabrege egg in her bed, to some very clear, obvious benefit
Disadvantages: surprise me, I like surprises
no subject
However, Samus can still have all her sweet toys (or at least most of them); it'll just take some preplanning to transport it. And since she can summon only parts of the suit, too, she can make like Iron Man and summon the gloves or whatever provided it is in the same time/location/dimension as her.
As for actual pricing!
The power suit would be 4xp for the armor and an additional 4xp for each of the high tech weapons. Since there are three of those, it'll be 16xp for everything listed here, although the charge beam will no longer have infinite ammo and she'll need to purchase cartridges for it (15 rounds each).
A single morph ball upgrade would be 4xp, although yeah, we'll have to nerf power bomb completely.
The elemental beams upgrade would be another 4xp.
Since the visors are software add-ons instead of physical ones, they'll be 2xp each! Speedboost is 4xp, but please be careful. Creating a deafening supersonic boom and disorienting everybody nearby might not end well. Shinesparking would be another 4xp and you'd need speedboost beforehand. Screw attack is another one we'd have to nerf completely, however.
As far as custom mods go, they'll start at 2xp for software and 4xp for combat-related upgrades and get adjusted from there. For any tech not from Samus' canon (COST or Regency or anything else), Samus will have to ICly requisition the technology. Since she already has some COST tech on her, her suit can interface with the BCE automatically through Futhark tech, i.e., the in-game version of Bluetooth. It won't do anything beyond that just yet because messing around too much is liable to accidentally blink people to the wrong dimension, and to stop this it has firewalls in place to keep Samus from blasting off like Team Rocket. Either you can provide suggestions or we can give you some options (many of which, yeah, will probably be goofy as hell) if you purchase the suit!

Item: Riding mounts. I say mounts because I feel like the mounts in Thedas would break down differently point wise and in terms of usefulness. The mounts of Thedas include: horses, dracolisks, harts, and nuggalopes. My preference would be the nuggalope with hart following close behind.
Purpose: They are mounts so they can be ridden or they can carry things (given the size and heartiness of harts and nuggalopes they can arguably carry more than a horse)
Appearance: A horse is a horse of course of course
Dracolisks are kind of dragon-y looking
Harts are a threesome between an elk and okapi and a clydesdale
The nuggalope...the hippo bunny with goat horns and hands for feet?
Storage: This is probably the disadvantage.
Benefits: It can carry all the things? Or at least more things than Dorian or anyone could carry or would want to carry, or in the event of an injury it's a makeshift ambulance.
Disadvantages: Storage! That's probably the big one and access to feed and that some of these mounts would probably harass passersby. Also in the event of a Dracolisk it might be at risk of being kidnapped by certain mothers of dragons who shall remain nameless.
no subject
Horses & harts - 7xp
Dracolisks & bog unicorns - 9xp
Nuggalope - 11xp
The pricing increases as the unsuitability for mounted transport increases. The horses and harts are near ideal, and their major downside is, you guessed it, storage. The dracolisks and bog unicorns (I know you didn't list them, but hey, might as well mention them) are less ideal because they're either meat eating or, you know, undead. And nuggalopes are just... huge.

Item: A leather bound journal and a set of watercolor pencils
Purpose: It's a book to draw and take notes in
Appearance: journal and pencils
Storage: In Rey's room / on her person when she's taking them out to draw
Benefits: Sketching what she saw on Jakku is something Rey has done to keep herself from getting bored, but also as a way to take notes about the things that might, you know, get her killed. So it'll be a good way to keep a diary of the things she comes across during her travels but also a way to distract her from the Bad Times
Disadvantages: Paper cuts suck...
