Name's Din and I am a fresh hunk of meat, even if I've been on your butcher's block in the chat for a few days. I decided to square up to the cleaver. Anyway, nice to officially meet you all. I'm bringing all you poor, unfortunate souls Ryo "oh, this? it's laced with drugs" Asuka from the highly infamous, violent, and influential Devilman (specifically, the OVAs/manga).

Anyway, Ryo over here is fresh off the end of the second OVA, wherein he and his love interest and best friend Akira Fudo took down a pretty spectacular demon. He's not very happy about it, even if he has the vague feeling he agreed to come here...

Oh, well! Surely, that's not important. Either way, he's been involved in a bloody and secretive war against demons with Akira and Akira alone (to their knowledge) for a while now, wherein Akira managed to fuse with a powerful demon (where ya boy failed to) and became their ace in the hole in the Battle Royale.



Also, this is very important: Ryo's a very, uh, complicated boy from a very vicious canon who often suffers from some extreme cognitive dissonance, occasional out-of-character behavior, paranoia (associated with the demons), and has been progressively moving toward questionable methods of coping since he came into his knowledge/his father's gruesome death. He's actually got a gentle heart in there somewhere and usually is pretty mellow (if intense), but that only comes out when he's not involved in the thick of it. Whoops.

So, here are two (that's right, two) permissions posts. There's an opt-out and text field down the bottom if you guys want to fill that out too. Everything is screened and anonymous commenting is allowed. I guess you guys get a peek at my long-term plans.

I AM HERE FOR ALL YOUR TL;DR NEEDS. AMA, I CRAMMED 46 YEARS OF CANON INTO MY BRAIN AT SUCH VELOCITY IT WAS TERRIFYING. But, me @ my own list: one day i'll watch all of hxh and all these other good shows. But, also me @ me: let's watch the ova and apocalypse of amon and dmcb and read all the manga again.

ALSO GOOD. The art is so good and even if it is sort of separated from the primary story, I want to just lie down on the floor and cry. I would say I'm sorry, but I would be lying. Very, very profusely.

HxH IS ALSO SO GOOD and i feel like that was me few years ago when i'd marathon gundam-w every six months. could've been watching something NEW and doing something PRODUCTIVE but noooooooooooooo, just had to watch heero yuy threaten to kill a girl on her birthday every six months.

IT IS SO GOOD. I can definitely see where Berserk got its art influence from. It's OK, even if ur lying, I still got enjoyment out of the four chapters I zoomed thru.

I recently binged devilbaby cries and I had a good time so I'M EXCITED TO SEE RYO HERE, hello, welcome welcome hail satan, etc! He might possibly like Samus. She is a bounty hunter who don't like no rules but is a very justice-her-way kind of person... but also sometimes does things like single-handidly commit genocide of an entire species and blow up entire planets for the sake of the greater good. Because, uh, greater good.

Devilbaby Cryman is honestly amazing and I almost almost played that version of ya boy here. I was very close. I hope you like your slightly more rowdy version who likes to not watch his profanity and has the most legendary dub of all time.
