The following characters will find an old book with blank, yellowed pages (click the images below) in their belongings.

Each book is roughly 9cm by 14cm or 3.5" by 5.5". They don't seem that special on the surface, but if you decide to share your writing with a character who can't read the language, they'll miraculously understand whatever's written in this book (barring smudges and poorly formed letters, because those look sketch no matter what). That said, the books are tiny and only have 100 pages, so journal wisely and maybe write kinda (really) small.

From an IC perspective, it's a complete mystery! Missions have their set dates, but it's pure chance if they ever line up, while BASE has clocks but no calendars. The best a character can do is keep track of how many days they've personally been with COST and either use their canon or a mission like Gallipoli (which, for reference, began on Dec 29th, 1915 and wrapped up late January, 1916) as a point of reference.
