He has no superpowers per se, but feel free to make your character suddenly have the immense conviction that they can slice bullets in half. Also I guess a wide knowledge of how to read people’s physical state/capabilities and their weaknesses? They probably have this already, lbr.

Oh boy. Here’s a lot you can pick from. I can point you in the right direction of where you should look if you don’t know the canon, but here’s what’s up for grabs (or, if you do know the canon, and you want a memory that isn’t here, let me know). There's also a lot of canon stuff here in the comments if you're not planning on reading the manga (of which I don't blame you)/don't mind spoilers.

In Canon:

His childhood/batman moment (which can be arranged in a pretty little montage ig) and why he hates people getting wasted.

The murder of his master – so basically Why Mamoru Isn’t Just a Mere Kendo Instructor.

Chechnya – Basically his Trauma Center. Where he lost his sight, why he gets a little too invested in protecting his team, and why the idea of genetic engineering messes him up. Also why he’s single. Meeting Jesus (no, not that one).

Meeting 12-year-old girl that… basically proposes to him in return for his protection. And he says yes.
(also telling her SURE I'LL MARRY YOU NOW STOP CRYING and not meaning it because he's a douche it backfires, really)

A death that really, really got to him – these memories can come up with a nice wrapping of “Who Is Genda Teppei” memories and why he matters.

Missions with The Wall; or, with that said, him being somewhat domestic at Team Blade’s HQ.

Him basically TURNING HIS HEEL – going to a group who was trying to kill him, and basically striking a deal with them, including his own hire.

Him bitching about him being no samurai, dudes. He has reasons for it. Ok. He does.

There’s a LOT OF FIGHTS WHERE YOU CAN PICK FROM. From him stopping a guy from killing himself (and Mams) with an explosive by slicing his jaw, to him being rescued by the little girl from a horde of zombies drugged people, from him fighting a guy that’s from his own team, a sequence of followed attacks in a bunker (military tank included), fighting a guy on a motorbike, etc. – a look into how Mamoru doesn’t really kill as an M.O., how death is an easy escape, how he stops in his tracks and delegates the decision to someone else, etc etc.

In Game:

His after-death vision, where he fights a certain detective and suddenly he sees (yes that’s not a typo) everyone dying with the worst last words ever.
