OOC OUTLINE FOR GALLIPOLI;

lets get ready

At 06:00, 24 hours before deployment and the day after the full information packet has been given to everyone, they’ll be called a large briefing room, where they will be given the following run down on the news for their upcoming deployment:

They will be posing as an Australian ( either the Australian Light Regiment or the Australian Light Horse ) relief force to the army that is currently stationed at Gallipoli. After the last attempt to break out of the trenches, forces are depleted. Due to the bad governance of the campaign over all, another group turning up unannounced will be confusing, but not exactly surprisingly so. The line COST soldiers are to say is that they got their coordinates wrong and turned up in the wrong place.

Their transport to the beaches will be on ships, as is standard, a little north of ANZAC Cove/Gaba Tepe. From there they will have to run the rest of the distance to the main campsite. Once arriving, they will follow on sight command, reporting to the Landing Officer with their directions that they are there to help relieve the front lines. COST advises to expect anything once there, but do their best to blend in with the local soldiers as much as they can. They can’t be sure what is going to happen post arrival, but at all costs, they are to lessen the losses on the ANZAC side as much as possible. If it becomes them and someone else, they are advised to volunteer for anything and everything that could be dangerous over other soldiers.

In short: Protect these soldiers, and ensure their survival.

Assembly and departure time for the next day will be at 0600 hours, and a special chronometer app is added to their BCEs to make sure everyone is synchronized to the local time on arrival.

For NEWBIES this marks your second week at base, yeouch, but at least you've had one solid week training to get comfortable in the guns, uniform, equipment everyone has.

After the briefing, training is called to a halt and for the next 24 hours they are allowed rest. There is no training between briefing and deployment the next day, and they are given decent meals and are allowed to be at their leisure in order to recuperate. It might be a good time to go over your kit, get comfortable in your uniform, make sure you're ready.

In addition to this: yes, they will be advised to develop and alias and adjust their appearance to fit in with the average image of soldiers. If your hair is too long? Probably cut it. If you have unusual hair colour, dye it. Is your name unusual? Change it to something that is more common to the people of the time. Something German is alright - Australia had a lot of German settlers in the mid 1800s but during this war? It’s likely to get a couple of looks. They will also be encouraged to pick a city or town to come from. These are the advised places:
